We ate here a few weeks ago and the place was busy, the waitress took ages to serve us and ignored us most of the time, not offering drinks and we had to ask for them eventually. The meals were average and I was ill after eating the pasta. I put this down to being busy however and maybe a tummy bug (no one else had it but wasnt sure).
Went back today at 315pm (I like to give a second chance) - The restaurant had 1 person seated and 2 in the bar when we arrived we were seated and given water and menus... 25 minutes later I went and asked to order food. The food arrived within 15 minutes and was nice nothing to write home about but nice enough. The girl forgot the drinks which I had to ask for again, there was no follow up service We would have liked more drinks but service was nonexistent. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is its location, if it was placed anywhere else in town it would be closed by now. The food is overpriced for what it is and the service is so atrocious, I would hope the owner is not actually paying the girls to do nothing. If you want a place to sit and look at the lovely view then this place is for you. If you want to eat in a timely manner or want nice food then dont bother.

They're in the prime location. I can't understand why they can't lift their act - as they will have to do now they've got competition. Producing good food takes skill and flair, but good service surely is just a matter of trying harder.

I agree with everything that you've said, the service there is incredibly bad, and I don't think I've ever seen any of the staff crack a smile either. It's like we're interupting them from doing something else, which is supposed to be waiting on us!!

It seems a shame you received poor service, I must say I was in there for lunch last friday and not many other people where there, but the food was delicious and the waitresses seemed very polite and made sure we were right for drinks. I hadn't been there before, so I was quite impressed and will surely go again. Maybe the staff still need a little training given, did you voice your concerns to the manager, If management don't know these things, nothing will be corrected.

As a first time customer we thought that we would ring ahead to make a booking for that evening. We were told that they dont take bookings, just turn up. So thats exactly what we did. We got there and the person behind the counter asked if we had a booking... Well no cause we were told they didnt take bookings. He proceded to tell us that acually they didnt take bookings. (confusing...why did he ask???) THEN he said that there were no tables avaliable.. Well there was quite obviously a table that had plenty of seats for us. We asked why we couldnt sit there... he said that table was booked!!!! What?? Relutantly he let us go there (as we were walking out the door, mind you). The service was slow to. We were there for two hours... No new customers turned up.. Soooo where was this table that was booked?? odd and confusing... where is the continuity??

Agree totally. Went there about a month ago- service was terrible. We ordered some breads etc for starters- when they arrived we had to ask for plates and cuttlery. When mains came out mine wasn't there- waiter said he 'thought' mine was coming. Finally arrived- was ok, but had no aoli or anything on it even though it was described as having that on the menu. We had to ask a waitress to order desert, which we sholdn't have bothered about, it was pretty awful. The choc pudding was really dry, and there was only a tiny scoop of icecream to go with it which I'm sure would have been ok had the pudding been moist. Ended up leaving most of it. Yes great location, but average food and terrible service!

I have been here twice and will not be going back, food was slow and lacked flavour and luke warm. As for getting a drink we had to go up to the bar each time after getting sick of waiting. There staff turnover is very very high I have been told,,,so if you are out of a job you might be able to get one here.
